Organizations

There are many organizations that are related to distance education. Below are some of the organizations. We will be adding a long list of organizations and much more historical information on them as we continue to develop this site. Please sign up for our newsletter to receive updates on additions.

Distance Education and Training Council (DETC) - This organization started out as the National Home Study Council (NHSC) in 1926. In this video you will learn a little bit about the history of DETC from Mr. Michael Lambert, Executive Director of DETC. Visit DETC's site here. We will be adding more information on the NHSC and DETC in the near future.
